This project with its difficulty and size, as well as with its content, makes space for cooperation of the middle and eastern Europe, which are very close to each other culturally and ethnically, and which is connected with this time of history as an appeal for thoughts of artistic possibility, cultural and economical fulfilling their own common space.
The project of the Epopee unlike other historical movies is based on unknown, distinctive atmosphere of the Slovak countryside and culture, as well as undiscovered architecture. Costumes and magical side of festivals of Heathens in confrontation with mystery of early Christianity. That all can become a good ground not only for the artistic quality of the work, but also for the attraction of audience.
…There was dark at the beginning, in the middle of which in the golden egg slept Rod, the god of gods – the beginning of everything we have in this world.
He is the creator of the skies and the ground and father of us, Heathens.
The god Rod, the god of Slavs and all people, is the beginning and the end of everything what is born and what is going back to him … It is him who created „Všehomír“ (Allpeace) with the skies and stars … When as a heavenly smith was carving the Sun and the Moon , from the sparks which were flying from his flame, next gods were born.
His tree sons – these are tree tribes of the original Slavs, which will spread up into the world. Though their languages and roots remain common forever.
